SAY or TELL
TELL + [человек]
SAY + [что сказали]
Если хотите после "say" поставить человека, то структура такая -
SAY + TO + [человек]
Помимо этого есть устойчивые выражения с SAY и TELL.
Вот некоторые из них:
- to tell the truth - говорить правду
- to tell a lie - говорить неправду, лгать
- to tell a story - рассказать историю
- to tell a secret – рассказать секрет.
- to tell the time - сказать время
- to tell the news - сказать новость
- to tell a joke - рассказать шутку
- to say no/ yes - сказать нет \ да
- to say good-bye/ hello - сказать до свидания \ привет
- to say a word - сказать слово
- to say nothing - ничего не сказать
